A gem of a coffee shop. The baristas were very friendly and helpful when I asked for bean recs for espresso. I got a bag, and one of them kindly grinded some of it for me after I explained I was still waiting on my home grinder to arrive. I enjoyed some coffee while reading a book in one of the nooks, and the amount of natural light made it very cozy. There is plenty of space both inside and outside, and there is a good selection of beans for whatever you may need.

The vibe is great. Is location is surprising. The barista knew is coffee!! He knew the blend and the roast!! All hail. This is a true coffee lover's spot for quality specialty coffee. My companion had a drip Kenyan and it was good- bright and on point. The espresso was medium roast (I prefer a dark) but good quality. This is a high value high quality shop and coffee drinkers have no choice- you must come here. Plus it is adorable. We sat outside and were very content.

This place is awesome. I live out of town and stopped in mid day. Had a cortado that I would hop a flight just to have again. Try some of thier roasted beans too. They are very good at home - I bought the Sumatra and the 8 ball. You get a free drip roast with those too. Pretty sweet deal. Cool vibe and staff too.

Excellent coffee house in neighborhood south of downtown. The coffee is carefully crafted and superb. Loved the retro LP based music! Lots of great indoor and outdoor seating; easy street and lot parking.

While driving up for a work trip a coworker suggested I come thru to Pinewood Coffee Bar for a coffee for the road when he found out I was planning to stop in Waco. I was super happy with his suggestion as this coffee shop is super quaint with their chill vibes and the music playing throughout the place. Upon walking in I was not surprised to see almost every seat was taken by studying students and remote workers. This is definitely a nice spot to post up and get some work done. The baristas were super welcoming and gave me enough time to figure out what I wanted to order. I opted for a cold brew and requested to add CBD to my drink. I found out they do have CBD sparkling waters and COULD mix it with my cold brew but I opted to just take a sparkling water with me instead and have it later. I was glad I did too as I was able to take off the edge and stressors of driving through to my destination. The atrium area outside is just super charming. It was a little cold to be sitting outside on the day I visited but there were people out there enjoying the fresh air and doing their thing. Next time I am in the area I will definitely come through again as this spot was just the bees knees.

I find myself in Texas more often than I ever thought I would. On a west to east cross country roadtrip, we cut through Waco and stopped into Pinewood for refuel. I need coffee to start my day and essentially, just be a pleasant human being. Yea I'm addicted to a drug called caffeine and yea maybe its not great for my brain and definitely gives me heartburn now BUT I DON'T CARE. Give me the coffee. And if you can, give me lattes from Pinewood bc they were delicious. A stop here was so lovely to break up the long hours of driving. I loved the vibe and could easily spend a day here if I was local. You Waco residents are so lucky.

Why wasn't this here when I was at Baylor?! Such a great study/work spot with lots of good places to sit/plug in. And the coffee was fantastic! I had an oat milk cortado and my husband had an americano. Both were delicious and the barista that took our order was kind. Highly recommend stopping by if you're visiting but expect a decent crowd of students.

Pinewood is a Waco staple - and I make it a point to visit every time I'm back in town. This was my go-to coffee shop when I was at Baylor - and it's comforting to know that I can walk in and grab a glass of cold brew that's just as delicious as it was when I was in school. Locally-roasted coffee beans make a difference, and you can truly taste that difference here. This is a great place to study or work remotely: the Wi-Fi is fast, and the caffeine is readily available. The atmosphere is warm and familiar - even if it's your first time stopping in. I've always had excellent service, and have often asked the baristas for their recommendations. If you're planning to sit outdoors, I would definitely recommend a set of headphones or earbuds, as it can get a little loud around lunchtime. I have yet to experience their Public House - but it's definitely something I hope to get around to soon.
